Dr. Christoph Michel, DMD

To say that Dr. Michel is passionate about being a dentist is an understatement. Recognized as a leader in his field, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine in 1995. He was awarded a General Practice Residency at Muhlenberg Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, giving him the opportunity to study with one of the finest endodontists in the country.

Dr. Michel is constantly learning the latest and most innovative techniques and procedures and has completed more than 2000 hours of continuing education credits, including an intense three week Implant Curriculum at Columbia University.

He's a member of several dental organizations and certifications that offer a variety of education opportunities, including:

• Academy of General Dentistry
• Columbia University Implant Continuum Graduate

Dr. Michel is a resident of Brigantine and has been working in the South Jersey area since 2000. An active member of his community, he regularly gives his time to the local soccer organizations and supports area charities. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his two young children, travelling and camping. He's also an avid guitar player, skier and wind surfer.

Dr. Cletus Schwegman, DMD

Dr. Schwegman recieved his B.A. from the University of South Carolina and his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. Following graduation he began his private practice in Medford, NJ where he practiced for over thirty years.

He has recently relocated to the Jersey shore to be closer to his two grown children and their families. Now residing in Longport, Dr. Schwegman brings his extensive experience and calm demeanor to our dental family.

Rita - Office Manager
Rita has been the office manager for over 5 years. While running every aspect of the office, she finds time to help every patient with their scheduling, insurance and finances. She is an insurance guru with a heart of gold. Her warmth and sunny demeanor make our front office feel like home. When she is not busy caring for all of us she loves to do yoga and spend time with her beloved puppies.

Christine - Front Desk
Christine is our communications and insurance coordinator. She is a wiz at scheduling and accommodating patients needs specifically with insurance questions. She has a bright, happy, friendly personality. Christine enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and three cats. Loves to spend time with her family, bake, and work on arts and crafts.

Alyssa - Dental Assistant
Alyssa has been a certified dental assistant for
6 years. She enjoys working at By The Sea Dentistry because it’s a warm friendly atmosphere. She enjoys being a newlywed and an aunt. Alyssa loves spending time with her dog and two cats.

Sherry - Dental Assistant
Sherry is a highly qualified assistant with over nine years experience. She exudes confidence and makes every patient feel right at home. When she is not busy charming patients Sherry relaxes with her husband, baby boy, and lab puppy Molly. Her multiple other talents include cooking, baking, and photography.

Danielle - Dental Assistant
Danielle has been a registered dental assistant for
3 years and loves working chair side with Dr. Michel. Her calm and professional demeanor instills a sense of warmth and security in her patients. Danielle is always willing to help, whether it be answering the phones, calling insurance companies, or scheduling for the front desk. Danielle loves to travel and spend time with her boyfriend, family and puppy Bentley.

Courtney - Dental Hygienist
Courtney is a registered dental hygienist and has been practicing for almost 5 years. She is passionate about patient care and education. She was born and raised in Atlanta, GA and has been living in South Jersey for the past 4 years. Courtney is an avid runner and loves spending time with her husband, Corey and their two dogs Baxter and Brady.

Danielle - Dental Hygienist
Danielle has been a dental hygienist for over
10 years. She thrives on providing patients with excellent care and treats each patient as though they are a member of her family. Danielle is also our Treatment Plan Coordinator, creating life plans for our patient’s overall oral health. She has a gentle hand and a warm personality. In her off time she enjoys cooking, walking and caring for her husband and young daughter.
